Dr. Jeff Bowra took over Westview Veterinary Services in October 2016. His philosophy is to provide the best possible care to his patients and exceptional service to his clients: treating both like family.

This is not the first opportunity that Jeff has had to work at Westview. He was offered his first job at Westview in the Spring of 1994 when he was graduating from vet school. Being that he was a new graduate and starting a family he decided to settle on the East side of the Port Mann.

Dr. Jeff has owned Aldergrove Animal Hospital since 1997; and in 2017 he became business partners Dr Erica Ayers.  He and the Teams at both Hospitals are working towards Fear Free Practice Certification.

Jeff graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1994.  He enjoys surgery & dentistry and has special interest in canine sports and rehabilitation medicine with a focus on racing sight hounds and agility dogs.

He has taken Advanced Training in Canine Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation through the University of Tennessee and the Canine Rehabilitation Institute in Florida and is proud to have the first veterinary hospital in Canada to have an underwater treadmill and therapy pool.

He is married to Toni, has 3 daughters Chloe, Riley & Olivia and one son Brody. They share their home with Bunny the pug, Mouse & Moonlight the cats.

Outside of work and family Dr. Jeff still enjoys playing hockey and following the Vancouver Canucks. He also loves to escape to the family cabin on the Sunshine Coast as much as possible to go boating and does a fair bit of fishing (but not a lot of catching).

Dr Jeff now spends most of his time at Westview and over the next couple of years will be transitioning out of Aldergrove. Dr. Jeff and Toni are looking forward to their imminent move to the North Shore.
