Iona Schamberger

Iona graduated from the Animal Health Technology Program at Thompson rivers University in 2008, and has been working as an RVT for over 15 years all across the Lower mainland and Vancouver Island. She enjoys all aspects of the job but takes a special interest in anesthesia, surgery ,nursing care and more recently animal behaviour.  Iona is Level 3 Fear Free certified, and is very passionate about ensuring your pet has a stress-free experience when they visit the clinic. She enjoys educating others on low-stress handling and will always be seen handing out copious amounts of treats to all our treatment room visitors! Outside of work, she enjoys staying active through strength-training, boot camp, and walking her two Bully mixes Charlie and Odin. She also enjoys exploring local breweries with her husband on weekends. She’s thrilled to be a part of the team, and looks forward to meeting you and your four-legged family members!
